FAQ

What is the transition programme, and how does it work?

The transition programme is a simplified process that allows you to switch your existing halal certification to AHF without repeating the full certification procedure.

When is the best time to initiate a transfer to AHF?

You can initiate the transfer at any point during your current certification period. AHF provides complimentary coverage for the remainder of your existing certification and adds an additional 12 months to it.

Will transferring to AHF cost extra?

No. If your certification is active, there are no additional costs beyond the standard audit fee. In fact, AHF provides complimentary coverage for the remainder of your current certificate and extends it for an additional 12 months.

Do I need a new audit if I am certified by another halal certification body?

In most cases, no initial audit is required if your current certificate is issued by a member of the World Halal Food Council (WHFC). We simply verify your documentation and seamlessly transition your certification under AHF.

What documents are required to start the transfer process?

We typically require a copy of your current halal certificate, the last audit report, and product listings. Our team will review them and guide you on any additional information needed.

Will switching to AHF affect my market access or export approvals?

On the contrary, AHF’s global recognition and acceptance in over 180+ countries and strong government and industry relationships enhance your market access. Our certificates are accepted by key authorities and retailers worldwide, including in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North America.
